Wasinee Nugsiang (she/her)PresidentHi, I'm Wasi (she/her), and I’m your 2024-25 President. Last year, I was Secretary for 2023-24❗I'm a 3rd-year in the Thurgood Marshall College family. I'm a movie lover🍿—I really love watching movies, mostly scary ones. I love hanging out with friends, going to the beach🏖️, hiking, and swimming. I also love to play 🏸badminton (although I don't know any of the rules) as well as Pool 🎱, which I recently started playing with a friend and love.
How did I join, and why do I love UCSD Rotaract? I was the Treasurer of the Interact Club in high school (Interact is the high school version, and Rotaract is the college version). I've loved helping and spreading 💌 love to communities since I was young. When I found out UCSD had a Rotaract, I joined right away. The first time I attended a General Body Meeting (GBM), I was so nervous about joining the Rotaract Club as a first-year and being on my own that I arrived 30 minutes early. Fortunately, I met a few board members who also came early, and they were very friendly and open-minded—I immediately felt like part of a family. And now, of course, I’ve become a part of this family○( ^皿^)っ Hehehe… Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about anything! |
Atsushi Osawa (he/him)Vice PresidentHello everyone! My name is Atsushi Osawa (he/him). I’m a third-year student majoring in Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences and Economics at Muir College. After being involved in the Interact Club in high school, I joined the Rotaract Club during my first year here. Rotaract has provided me with amazing opportunities to connect with like-minded students, Rotarians, and community members. It’s an exciting and rewarding way to make friends, grow personally, contribute positively to society, and so much more! In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, running, cooking, and hanging out with friends. I’m excited to make more memories with all of you!

Outside of Rotaract, I work in cardiovascular engineering research under Dr. Cabrales. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing and reading lots of hard sci-fi books. Zach Norcia (he/him)Co-Service DirectorHello everyone, my name is Zach Norcia (he/him), and I'm from San Jose, California. I'm a second-year student majoring in Cognitive Science at ERC. I joined this club because my grandfather and father were both Rotarians for most of their adult lives, and I have an enormous amount of respect and admiration for what Rotary does for the community and the world. Outside of service, I love working out, hanging out with friends, being outdoors, and watching movies.

Chayla Venzon (she/her)Co-Membership DirectorMy name is Chayla (pronounced Kai-luh), and I’m a 4th-year Literature/Writing major with a Law & Society minor at Eleanor Roosevelt College. From being introduced to the club’s purpose and the humor of its members during Week 0 tabling in my 1st year to serving on the board one final time, Rotaract has been an incredibly valuable experience in my undergraduate career! I’m always inspired by the selflessness that all the Rotaract members demonstrate, and I want to continue creating a space for community through different socials and GBMs. Outside of Rotaract, I enjoy reading comics, getting sweet treats, and playing the bass!
