Rotaract Club at UCSD
Rotaract Club at UCSD is a university-based form of Rotary International, giving college students an outlet for community service and professional development. Nearly every Saturday, we go out to various service events (local and international) and ranges in involving nature/environment, animals, and the community. We have service events for all types of interests and everyone is welcome to join!
Rotaract is sponsored by the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club. Rotaract has four major focuses:
1. Professional Development
2. Community Service
Through our relationship with the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club, we provide our members with professional development and networking opportunities, including a mentorship program where Rotarians are paired with Rotaract members interested in certain careers or fields.
Rotary International is an organization of business and professional leaders from all across the world. There are more than 34,000 clubs in more than 200 countries with 1.2 million Rotarians worldwide. With a commitment to "Service Above Self" and the Four-Way Test, Rotarians volunteer to help both their local and international communities with education and job training, improving health and sanitation conditions, and their major cause, eradicating polio.
THE FOUR WAY TEST
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
